Thank you for choosing a 'Pattay Made' knife! Our knives are made one at a time, using only the finest materials. The steel is ATS-34 stainless, an extremely pure alloy. It is a high carbon, chromium, molybdenum steel with outstanding corrosion resistance and edge holding characteristics. It is widely regarded as the finest blade steel available. Your knife includes a brass or nickel silver finger guard, silver soldered to the blade, a custom handle and handmade leather sheath. It is also delivered at 60-62 Rockwell hardness. For our filet blades we use 440c stainless. With higher chromium content, it stands up around salt water and holds a great edge at 59 Rockwell. We heat treat all of the blades in our own ovens using tried and true procedures. Your satisfaction is totally assured. In the absence of blatent abuse, any knife may be returned at any time. The problem will be corrected, a new knife will be sent, or your purchase price will be refunded. While these knives are not particularly difficult to resharpen, they may be returned for resharpening at any time free of charge. We also recommend using a Lansky Knife Sharpener at a 25 degree angle.
